Employee Spotlight: Curtis Clark
At Douglas Rulmecca, our team members bring unique skills, dedication, and personality to everything they do. This month, we’re thrilled to introduce Curtis Clark, a valuable member of our idler department.
From Birmingham to Douglas
Curtis hails from Tanner City in Birmingham, Alabama. He joined Douglas Manufacturing about seven months ago after applying through a temp service, and he’s been thriving ever since.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Curtis keeps it simple: “Just the job—everything about it.” His passion for hands-on work and learning new skills has made him an excellent fit for our team.
Building Skills for a Lifetime
In his time at Douglas, Curtis has had the opportunity to strengthen his welding skills and take on new responsibilities, including handling paperwork and mastering various processes within the idler department.
“I had some welding experience from a previous job, but Douglas has really helped me build on those skills,” Curtis shared. “It’s a skill that will serve me for the rest of my life.”
Curtis’s commitment to learning and growing is a testament to his work ethic and dedication to his craft.
Advice for New Employees
Curtis keeps his advice for new team members straightforward: “Just come in and do your job.” His no-nonsense approach and willingness to learn are qualities that have served him well in his role.
Life Outside of Work
When Curtis isn’t working hard at Douglas, you’ll likely find him working on cars or spending time with his family. He’s a proud grandfather to two grandkids, a three-year-old and one who’s about to turn two.
“Spending time with them is the best,” Curtis said with a smile.
Celebrating Curtis’s Contribution
Curtis’s dedication, curiosity, and enthusiasm make him an invaluable member of the Douglas team. We’re excited to see all he continues to achieve in the months and years to come.
Thank you, Curtis, for your hard work and for being an important part of the Douglas family!
